This ten week program is for undergraduate students from under-represented minority populations interested in biomedical research relevant to NIDDK research areas. Students will have an opportunity to work side-by-side with a scientific investigator in one of NIDDK's laboratories located in Bethesda, Maryland or Phoenix, Arizona. NIDDK will provide housing and up to $500 travel expense in addition to the $2,500 stipend. At the end of the summer students will be required to participate in the NIH Poster Presentation Day on the NIH Campus. Students interning in Phoenix will travel to Maryland for the poster presentations
