Thirtyawards of up to $1,000 in start-up funds are available to young people(ages 12-20) who want to create new, sustainable, and civic-mindedorganizations, clubs, or businesses. Although the projects should beyouth-led, each Youth Venture team is required to have at least oneadult mentor who offers support and guidance to the team. Youth Ventureprojects have ranged fromusing a theatre to provide positive activities for urban youth torunning a magazine that focuses on youth issues.
